APOSTLES OF PAUL

On the hometown turf of Clinton and Giuliani, EDWARD-ISAAC DOVERE has found a small but determined group who support the quixotic candidacy of Ron Paul.

By Edward-Isaac Dovere

Avery Knapp is a 28 year-old lanky, blond radiologist originally from Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., in the last year of his residency at Lenox Hill. He is not the guy always talking politics in high school, nor the guy long drawn to iconoclastic ideology—always a conservative, he thinks he voted for Bob Dole in 1996 and knows he picked George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004. He is a committed Republican. But he never thought to vote in a primary or care much about who did.

Knapp found Ron Paul this spring while sitting in his girlfriend’s apartment in Chicago, on a week of vacation. He was surfing the web during a study break, researching monetary policy for his father. Articles about inflation and the federal reserve led him to Give Me a Break, John Stossell’s libertarian polemic, and Freedom to Fascism, a documentary by Aaron Russo in which Paul says there is “a possibility” that the private bankers of Fort Knox could have taken control of America’s wealth.

Ron Paul to Jay Leno: 'I could win'

Why Ron Paul Matters

Those of you who know me as a supporter of Rudy Giuliani's presidential aspirations might be surprised to see that I am praising Ron Paul. While I do not support his candidacy, I think that he is an important presence in the GOP and has pushed the party to do a lot of soul-searching in the wake of its 2006 drubbing. His strict libertarianism and great reverence for the Constitution make him one of the best defenders of limited government and individual liberty in Congress. Read more.

“I think he’s probably the only candidate who can make big enough changes in our government to save us from economic breakdown,” said Friendly after hearing Paul.

2008 Presidential Election Statistics

Last updated: 2007-10-28 (Updated daily)

Ron Paul Annihilating Hillary Clinton on Google Trends

With the USA Presidential Election coming up, even through I’m from the UK I find the whole online buzz on Ron Paul pretty incredible and thought it would be interesting to stick a few of the runners in to Google trends against Ron to gauge online popularity.

Here’s the results including the mainstream media-popular Hillary Clinton, Rudolph Giuliani, Barak Obama and then the lesser known Ron Paul, who which I’m sure more Americans will hear of over the coming weeks and months.

I’m sure with his upcoming appearance on Jay Leno (over 5 million viewers) and plenty of money being put in his kitty for radio and TV advertisements the trend graph below will become even more surprising in the near future.

More On HR 1955: The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007

Excerpts from: Lee Rodgers 10/25/07

The U.S. House of Representatives recently passed HR 1955 titled the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007. This bill is one of the most blatant attacks against the Constitution yet and actually defines thought crimes as homegrown terrorism. If passed into law, it will also establish a commission and a Center of Excellence to study and defeat so called thought criminals. Unlike previous anti-terror legislation, this bill specifically targets the civilian population of the United States and uses vague language to define homegrown terrorism. Amazingly, 404 of our elected representatives from both the Democrat and Republican parties voted in favor of this bill. There is little doubt that this bill is specifically targeting the growing patriot community that is demanding the restoration of the Constitution. First let's take a look at the definitions of violent radicalization and homegrown terrorism as defined in Section 899A of the bill.

The definition of violent radicalization uses vague l anguage to define this term of promoting any belief system that the government considers to be an extremist agenda. Since the bill doesn't specifically define what an extremist belief system is, it is entirely up to the interpretation of the government. Considering how much the government has done to destroy the Constitution they could even define Ron Paul supporters as promoting an extremist belief system. Literally, the government according to this definition can define whatever they want as an extremist belief system.

Essentially they have defined violent radicalization as thought crime. This bill is completely insane. It literally allows the government to define any and all crimes including thought crime as violent radicalization and homegrown terrorism. Obviously, this legislation is unconstitutional on a number of levels and it is clear that all 404 representatives who voted in favor of this bill are traitors and should be removed from office immediately. The treason spans both political parties and it shows us all that there is no difference between them. The bill will go on to the Senate and will likely be passed and signed into the law by George W. Bush.
Considering that draconian legislation like the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act have already been passed, there seems little question that this one will get passed as well. This is more proof that our country has been completely sold out by a group of traitors at all levels of government.

-------------more-----------

The Bill is going to the Senate for consideration while our troops are deployed in the U.S. doing "Police Duties" expressly forbidden by the Constitution.

This could also set precedent to block internet sites.

Please call your Senators ASAP.

Ron Paul Set To Use Radio And TV Ads In Presidential Campaign Bigtime

By Joe Gandelman

If some “mainstream” Republicans in debates and on conservative websites have felt that Rep. Ron Paul is an unwelcome thorn in their side with his views that on many issues don’t skew towards the present GOP establishment, they will be displeased by the following news:

Ron Paul’s campaign is gearing up to be a notable and persistent presence on radio and TV in early primary states by boosting broadcast ads and its fund raising drive. Translate that into: if the ads boost his numbers, it’ll be harder to dismiss him as a voice, harder for him to be as marginalized by editors assigning busy reporters to a daily assignment must-do-list, and it could increase his appeal among young supporters:

Support for Ron Paul should offer lesson to GOP leaders

October 15, 2007

Oregon Republicans got a wake-up call when their straw poll at the Portland World Trade Center was transformed into a Ron Paul rally, and his supporters crushed the opposition in the poll.

About 100 Paul supporters brought signs and banners, waved at traffic and pedestrians for blocks around the center, handed out literature and ended up putting Ron Paul in the winner's seat with 67 percent of the vote. Other candidates couldn't generate enough enthusiasm to get anyone at all to come out with any visible support.

Instead of ignoring or opposing Paul's efforts as they have done to date, the Republican Party leadership should be asking themselves what it is about this man that brings so many people out of their comfortable homes and hobbies to volunteer to campaign for him when other politicians are looked upon as something nasty that got on their shoe.

Here's a little hint for them: Ron Paul is today's Thomas Jefferson.

Finally, somebody has asked the questions that I have wanted to ask Ron Paul for a long time. After watching that interview, I am more convinced that Ron Paul is the by far the best candidate running for President.

I particularly liked the way that Ron Paul answered the questions about Medicare and welfare programs here at home. Ron Paul knows where the priorities are, he is sensitive to the repercussions of cutting programs, and knows which ones should be cut first, and how fast each one should be cut. It seems that he will do it in the best way possible. He is very Reaganesque, and I suppose that he will work hard to do what Reagan had said that he would try to do and failed.

I also particularly liked his answer to why he decided to forego his congressional pension. This man is a person of strong character and principle. How fortunate we are to have this man running for President at this crucial point in American history.

Go Ron Paul!

PBS documentary supports Ron Paul's talk of blowback from US foreign policy

Was Ron Paul right? Was the 1979 Iran hostage crisis at an American mission in Tehran a result of blowback from the 1953 CIA-organised overthrow of the democratically elected leader of Iran? This excellent PBS documentary relives the historical events of that time.

Ron Paul IS New Hampshire; and Northern NH Should Secede

New Hampshire is Ron Paul. You see it everywhere – on oversized signs in Warren, Woodsville and Lisbon, in the local papers and at state fairs. Ron Paul and The Law Of Attraction

Ron Paul Stings Hillary Clinton on Iraq War, Warns of Draft

Sounding like a candidate that can win his party’s nomination, Paul said, “She voted for the war now she says she can’t get the troops out until 2013 and she won’t rule out a military first strike against Iran.”

The law of attraction works. People who stand up for freedom, integrity, and the constitution will attract gentlemen like Ron Paul. People who want to be controlled, lied to, and live in fear will attract the Bushes, Guliani's, Clintons, etc.

Sadly, some people want to be controlled and not think for themselves. I see it every single day. It's no wonder corruption runs rampant when so many sit back and do nothing.

Ron Paul and "I Am The King"

Danya, a volunteer supporting Ron Paul with the Greater Chicago Meetup Group #94 took these pictures yesterday during the "All America Walk in Support of Ron Paul's Message of Freedom". She and her camera have a perfect way with numbers as follows:

Ron Paul was born on August 20th. Our Lord was born on August 11th. In non leap years such as 2007, these two dates are always separated by Leo (356) days. Leo is the sign of the Divine Birthmonth of August whose ruling planet is the sun and which corresponds to the human heart. The phrase "The King" corresponds, mathematically to 3242 as follows:

The (285) King (2957) = 3242

And when you add 23 to 3242 you get 3265 which is the number of Danya's second photo. What does 23 correspond to? 23 is a prime number that corresponds to I (9) Am (14) = 23 prime which was/is the Lord's original name and title given to Moses on Mt. Sinai - ie. "I Am...the Lord thy God" Exodus 20:2.

So 3265 adds up to "I Am The King" as follows:

I (9) Am (14) The (285) King (2957) = 3265

During the Northwestern University's homecoming parade on Friday night there was a great float playing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." Very much in line with the energy we all experienced yesterday - and NU beat Minnesota yesterday in double overtime by one (1) point!

Thanks again Danya for the great pictures!

God Bless "The Crazy Ones..."

Ron Paul wins Conservative Leadership Conference Straw Poll

Of course you won't hear any of this news on the BBC or Fox, but then what do you expect from two thoroughly discredited "news" organisations.

The Dam Is Breaking: The Freedom Message Is Spreading Everywhere!! Yikes!!

Dennis Berlin over at RonPaulbearer.com couldn't contain himself when he wrote:

Glenn Beck the Libertarian, Ann Coulter the Paulite???

I am flabbergasted. I just got done watching Glenn Beck do a segment on his CNN Headline News show, which he called "The Ron Paul Effect"! In this surprise segment, Beck actually praised many of Ron Paul's positions, pointing out how attractive these positions ARE to him, and to others harboring a libertarian mindset! Who would have KNOWN???

-------snip-crack---------

In the same evening of flipping through news channels, I also watched Bill O'Reilly flailing about without even his USUAL fake persona of see-through plastic dignity, because he seems to be feeling the strong reverberations of a loud and growing cry throughout America, for a return to civil liberties--a call for us to swear off all torture, to stop invading privacy without credible and constitutional judicial warrants, to return to our American principles as outlined in the Bill of Rights! In Bill's flustered state, he told a blatant lie on the air, tonight, when he asserted that all the people reporting that our government is committing these constitutional violations, are ALL JUST MAKING IT UP, and that they are spreading phony propaganda! Wow! Is Bill delusional???

--------snip-crack-------

O'Reilly's ire, believe it or not, is a GOOD sign for Ron Paul's essential message! The message of liberty is penetrating to such a depth, now, that it has flustered Bill into a rare resort to rank propaganda, which is only one step down from his more common, more misleading and more dangerous form: sinister propaganda.

--------snip-crack---------

I saw yet ONE MORE GOOD SIGN tonight, coming from the ultimate of Neocon heros, speaking on the ultimate of Neocon media outlets, to the ultimate poster child of the Neocon movement! I saw none other than Ann Coulter, herself, visibly disturbed, complaining vehemently to Sean Hannity, that she didn't know if she could BEAR, having to defend the likes of Rudy Giuliani for the next year and a half! She let out something of a small tirade against the multitudinous NON-conservative positions held by all of the leading Republican candidates, while Sean tried his best to calm her conservative core from having a libertarian meltdown! Because, with the exception of the war, that is where her comments seemed to be tending! It seemed like all of the positions she found WANTING in the leading candidates, were the VERY POSITIONS Ron Paul is championing! From gun rights, to taxes, to abortion, she sounded for all the world, like a Ron Paul protest vote in the making!

Peaceful Protest Nixed in West Suburbs

He and a friend, Sarah Hartfield, then headed to a pedestrian bridge over the Illinois North-South Tollway (I-355) in an unincorporated area of DuPage County. They placed the banner, along with an upside-down American flag, inside the bridge's fencing.
