(ANGOLA) - A group of unhappy property tax payers is organizing a tax protest in Steuben County. The event will begin Thursday evening at the Steuben County Community Center in Angola at 5:45 p-m. At 6 p-m the group plans to walk to the Steuben County Courthouse for a rally. Organizers say the company that reassessed Steuben County was the same company that reassessed the four counties that Governor Daniels has ordered to be checked for inequities. An email about the event says Angola Mayor Dick Hickman is scheduled to speak.
