Ron Paul raises lots of money in one day

We try to leave the presidential campaign to our friends at On Politics, but the news that Ron Paul raised more than $4.2 million in just one day rises beyond mere politics. It's a human interest story, too.

The Republican's campaign team tells the Associated Press that they raised $4.2 million in one day from 37,000 donors.

"Can we keep our momentum going? The most successful fundraising day ever is John Kerry's $5.7 million. And that was on the day he accepted the Democratic nomination," the campaign's fundraising chief says on the presidential hopeful's website. Read more here.
